iCIMS expert says silence on AI use in hiring 'not neutral'; 44% of surveyed jobseekers have not encountered AI screening
iCIMS' Trent Cotton warned employers that staying silent on AI use in hiring is 'not neutral', stressing disclosure when AI evaluates candidates. In an iCIMS survey of 1,000 US jobseekers, 44% had never encountered AI screening this year and 32% encountered it several times or in most searches. An iHire report found 44.3% increasingly view employers' AI use in hiring negatively.
