Sirius XM wins dismissal of AI hiring bias lawsuit
A federal judge in Michigan dismissed without prejudice an AI hiring bias lawsuit against Sirius XM on Sept. 30, 2026. Applicant Arshon Harper alleged the company's iCIMS AI features scored candidates using race proxies after he was rejected from roughly 150 applications between Nov. 2023 and Nov. 2024. The judge found he failed to plead sufficient facts for intentional discrimination or disparate impact claims.
