United Airlines wins summary judgment in age, disability bias case

A Texas federal district court granted summary judgment to United Airlines on ADEA and ADA discrimination and retaliation claims brought by an age-protected flight attendant with physical injuries. The court found she could not show pretext because evidence contradicting a binding System Board of Adjustment ruling—which found the airline complied with the CBA in terminating her—was precluded. Finger v. United Airlines, Oct. 23, 2026.
