On Oct. 23, 2026, the Saskatchewan Government and General Employees' Union (SGEU) and the Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations (SAHO) announced a new tentative collective bargaining agreement covering up to 2,040 health-care workers in central and northern Saskatchewan. The six-year deal, running from April 2023 to March 2029, still requires ratification by union members and covers roles including licensed practical nurses and lab technologists.
